Considered by many as the finest Villas on the East African Coast, Alfajiri Villas overlook the Indian Ocean and theirs elevated positions ensure privacy and stunning views. African Style villas where the theme is high Makuti roofs, ivory Danish floors, wooden beams, Lamu doors and impressive African and Far Eastern Artefacts. Most of the furniture is made on the property in the villa's workshop. The gardens are meticulously maintained and include many palms from the villa's nursery. Large verandas with huge hand carved sofas with cushions dominate the front of the villas where a stretch swimming pool sits on the edge of a small cliff merging into the sea and the horizon.
Bright and airy Caribbean style the Cliff Villa and truly African the Garden and the Beach Villas, beautifully decorated, with artefacts from Africa and the Far East.
One hour from Mombasa Airport with 10 daily scheduled services from Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta . Direct flights from England, Germany, France, Switzerland and Italy in to Mombasa are also available. Five minutes from Ukunda Airstrip, for private charters and a daily service to & from the Maasai Mara and Samburu National park and Nairobi Wilson airport.
8 guests can be accommodated in 4 bedrooms. all en-suite, dining room, kitchen, lounge and a large veranda over looking the Indian Ocean. For larger groups the MAIN HOUSE is available in addition to Alfajiri. This has a master bedroom with 270-degree stunning view on the ocean, Jacuzzi, and four additional rooms.
ROOM AMENITIES: All rooms, excluding the master bedroom are air conditioned with mosquito nets. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. (3 double rooms + 2 single rooms).
SPECIAL FEATURE: Guests at Alfajiri have exclusive use of the property. No other guest, belonging to another group, will be booked at the same time.
Fresh seafood is brought twice daily to order from the beach and includes some of the best crab, prawns, lobster, octopus and sea fish available. The food at Alfajiri is very healthy with a Mediterranean influence with oils, Parma ham and some cheeses flown in weekly from Europe. The salads and fresh vegetables come daily from local farms and the fruit is hand-picked from trees and bushes around Diani. The Molinaros will easily adapt the menus to suit the guests.
In 2002, Joash Were who has been instrumental in start up of many companies within Kenya and Beyond thought of it wisely that it was time to start up something tourism related.
