The lodge is full of charm and magic for those seeking to lose themselves in the moment',- Brennen Matthews, Destination Magazine
On the shores of the Indian Ocean, at the edge of the ancient settlement of Malindi lies The Driftwood, nestled into the Kenyan coast, with a charm all of its own. As a small and privately owned hotel, the owners have particularly enjoyed developing a sense of warmth and familiarity that sees guests returning time and again.
The long serving and experienced team are on hand to offer some of the best food in Malindi and to arrange some of the many activities that are available from here. These include deep-sea fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling, windsurfing, kite-surfing and water ski-ing on Mida Creek and bird watching on the Sabaki Delta or in the Arabuko-Sokoke forest. For those who simply want to relax, that is 4 miles of white beach to walk, a small treatment room and plenty of space to find peace and quiet.

In 2002, Joash Were who has been instrumental in start up of many companies within Kenya and Beyond thought of it wisely that it was time to start up something tourism related. He had worked at great places. Bearing in mind that all the progressive people talk “WE” and not I, he has brought together a great team who are professional in their own rights.
