The room designs, furnishings and finishes are eclectic, combining elements of coastal Tanzania, African, Indian and Arab cultures into a historically accurate "Shirazi" style that is unique to Kinasi.
The most important feature of Kinasi is that it is your home while you are with us. That, is the feeling is imparted to all guests. The atmosphere is informal and homely, intentionally unpretentious. Kinasi Lodge has beautiful antiques, fabrics and rugs as Kinasi is its pride and home to its owners. The Lodge's intention is that you should feel and act as if you are at home and have fun while you get pampered, so please feel and do so .just let us know if there is anything you need.

Room Dcor: The intention has been to create a resort that is relaxing and stylish, with a very personal feel. KINASI is beautifully furnished with antiques and hand-crafted furniture.
Room Amenities: Each room has an elevated wooden veranda shaded under thatch, private bathroom, armchairs, tables and hammock.

The dining room is appointed with crockery and hand- blown glassware made specially for us and there are original works of art by East African artists.
Our catering is based upon local seafood: fresh fish, prawns, crab, lobster, octopus and calamari, with fresh vegetables and fruit flown from the mainland. Our breads, rolls, pizzas and variety of yoghurts, preserves and sauces are all home made, from traditional recipes. Seafood barbecues and Swahili cuisine are established KINASI customs.
Swimming pool, gardens and beach, and the relaxed atmosphere and good company. Others include, snorkeling, scuba & Adventure diving, game fishing, sailing, bird watching and excursions to nearby ruins.
In 2002, Joash Were who has been instrumental in start up of many companies within Kenya and Beyond thought of it wisely that it was time to start up something tourism related. He had worked at great places. Bearing in mind that all the progressive people talk “WE” and not I, he has brought together a great team who are professional in their own rights.
